Our Apartment in Broomfield, CO
In August 2021 we sold our house in Colington Harbour, NC, giving up the sand and surf for the mountains and open space of Colorado. We now live within 20 minutes from each of our three children. This is a 55+ community (although no one here is under 70). They have lots of activities to keep us busy. In NC, we had to drive 4 miles to get to any kind of shopping. Here, within 4 miles, we have a hospital, Walmart, Home Depot, three supermarkets, a couple of nice restaurants and countless banks and fast food places.
Our Apartment is The Avenues at Crofton Park in Broomfield, CO
Right across the street is a huge open space with walking/biking paths on which you can go many miles.
Open areas contain critters with plenty of evidence of their presence.
We see them now and then usually at dusk..
There are beautiful views of the mountains wherever you go.
Here's the main living area of the apartment. We have plenty of space to move around.
The kitchen is quite functional but it has a lot less cabinet space than we had in our NC house.
The dining nook is kind of stuffed in a corner but with a TV in there it is quite useful.
We use the second bedroom as an office/sewing room.
The master bedroom gives us plenty of room. Lots of windows let in plenty of light.
